"I have noticed that some of the CDS charts have not updated since March 2010 (Emerging Markets generic price 5 yr). Is it possible for this to be updated? Also I was trying to overlay various CDS charts but am not sure how to import a chart that is not on the 'relative' drop down box. Your assistance is as ever greatly appreciated. Hope you are both keeping well."

Unfortunately, we no longer have access to a number of CDS indices due to restrictions
by the data suppliers. This mainly applies to indices of groups of CDS rather
the country specific indices.
To create
an overlay chart using instruments that are not found in the dropdown menu follow
these instructions.
1. Locate
the base instrument for the overlay using the search or the menus. For example
type "UK CDS" into the search and one option will appear. Click on
it.
2. When the chart appears click on the 'Charting' tab located in the charcoal
bar directly above the chart area.
3, A
popup window will appear. To create an overlay using whichever instrument you
choose, click on the 'Other Relative' tab highlighted in green directly below
the Relative dropdown menu.
4. A
new window will appear containing the Chart Library's various menus and a search
field. For example type 'Greece CDS' into the search field. There will be one
result. Click on it.
5. You
will be returned to the original popup window.
6. Select
overlay from the ratio dropdown menu.
7. Hit
'Apply' at the bottom of the window.
Your
chart should look something like this.
This
Chart Library Performance Filter of all
the CDS indices we have in the Chart Library highlights the acceleration in
risk premia attached to European sovereigns. A click through of the various
charts also highlights the fact the most CDS have risen over the last month,
even for markets comparatively far removed from the Eurozone.
