On CB gold:
"David-
A great discussion of Central Bank gold holdings."

David Fuller's view Yes, if a bit tortuous to reach. It took me several minutes but was well worth the time.

I try not to spend too much time on stories like this, which sometimes read like a conspiracy theory, but I am interested in the potential consequences as some gold scams in recent years prompt more people to vet their national holdings, and repatriate them if outside their country.

Will this diminish interest in gold? Rather the opposite, I suspect.

Here is the link. Once logged in, you do not need to waste time on the 'mouse trap' section; just cut straight to the interesting discussion of central bank reserves. Given all the years involved, not to mention the rising value of gold, sadly, it would not be surprising if the amount of bullion stored was somewhat less than it is supposed to be.

The other trend, which I think is particularly important, is the amount of gold flowing from West to East.
