On an investment policy for Asia
"I am invested in blue chip dividend earning US stocks, but wonder if the same strategy applies to Asian equities. In your opinion, is a more aggressive investment approach warranted currently in the Asian markets? Thanks for your input."
David Fuller's view I would prefer to answer this on the basis of what is appropriate for you. You probably know that better than anyone else.
However, I will add that there is no reason to alter your technical / fundamental selection criteria for Asia, in my opinion. Blue chip dividend paying stocks should offer some defensive protection in a downturn, provided they have sufficient earnings to pay the dividend. They are also favoured by investors seeking income at a time when global interest rates are generally low, particularly in the West.
