on managed futures funds
“Tim Price's very interesting report mentions Winton future fund as a major "trend following fund". I wonder if you or the collective can also recommend other trend following funds.
“Once again many thanks from this very grateful veteran subscriber as you refer to us ”
Eoin Treacy's view Thank you for this question which other
subscribers may have some additional thoughts on. Managed futures funds have
the potential to deliver outsized gains, usually in return for accepting leverage
and paying high administrative and performance fees. The majority tend to do
well for a while before moving to underperformance as the strategy becomes more
widely followed.
The
Winton Futures Fund has a front end
load of 3%, management fee of 1% and performance fee of 20%. Of the managed
futures funds I know of, it has an admirable performance record with low volatility.
If subscribers know of other funds with similar records I would be happy to
add them to the Chart Library.
