"The Australian election race is being debauched by making promises on the run which the elector can never expect to be fulfilled. This is all based on the premise that government spending is better than private spending, and that there are endless places to extract the funds from. It is also very presidential in nature. Result will be Labour with the Greens as "partners".

Every country should have a sovereign wealth fund, sensibly managed. Unfortunately, few so-called developed countries have had the vision to launch wealth funds when their economies have prospered.
