On investor psychology:
"Here is a mathematical breakdown of why Autonomies do so well..?!"
David Fuller's view Thanks for the interesting report.
I have long maintained that psychology is a huge and sometimes predictable influence in markets. In an era where investors have often been terrified, and certainly not without some justification, and while so many uncertainties remain over sovereign debt problems in the west and Japan, investors want something that is familiar and that they can believe in.
This is no longer government bonds. Gold filled the role magnificently for 10 years and should have another innings next year but the leadership baton is passed around. The successful Autonomies offer a familiar brand, size, momentum, dividends and earnings that are not scuppered by the world's trouble spots.
