on P/E ratio charts

“Hope all well and sorry to trouble ”

“Does the chart library have historical price earnings charts for markets like S&P, FTSE- 100 etc. I've found inflation adjusted and searched on variants of price earnings, pe, ratios but to no avail. Thanks in advance and thanks for the great work you & David do.”

Eoin Treacy's view Thank you for this question which is no trouble and comes up from time to time. Unfortunately we do not get fundamental data in our feed from Bloomberg so we do not have charts of P/E ratios in the Chart Library. However from time to time we post such charts in Comment of the Day. Here are P/E charts for the S&P500 and FTSE-100.

Additionally you may wish to peruse www.multpl.com which carries long-term P/E and dividend yield charts for the S&P500.
