Eoin Treacy's view Thank you for this question which others might also find of interest. The full name for the H-Shares Index is the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index. Its ticker is HSCEI and it can be found in the Chart Library. The Index is comprised of 40 companies whose businesses are focused on the Chinese mainland.

The Index has been ranging mostly below 14,000 since late 2009 and is currently retesting that area. While it is somewhat overbought in the very short-term a sustained move below 12,000 would be required to question medium-term scope for a successful upward break.
