"Hello David - I thought you might like the following quote in today's Australian Financial Review newspaper from Matthew Quinn, CEO of Stockland Group, Australia's largest residential land developer - "A social shift towards frugality was under way as people opted for smaller homes & less debt". We also have a new online bank (subsidiary of a major bank) advertising with the slogan - "Spending is so passé - saving is the new spending" - we are changing!"

David Fuller's view That is impressive! I have always though those advertisements exhorting people to borrow and spend beyond their means were socially reprehensible.
