"I have been an avid follower of your excellent service for many years..
"In your article about Gold Shares you say: "Fullermoney remains bullish of precious metals over the medium to long term".
"As a 76 year old investor, how should I interpret that prognosis? More specifically, how does it apply to me?"
David Fuller's view Thank you for your interest and enthusiasm
over decades.
In terms
of your personal well being, I hope that 76 really is the new 56.
Before
answering your question, I would like to share my Bob Bleiberg story with you,
which I have mentioned once previously. He was a very successful editor
of Barron's from 1982 until his retirement in 1991 and a man of considerable
charm.
I recall
chatting with him at a conference in New Orleans during the 1980s, when a man
of advanced years approached, announced that he was 92 years old and asked Bob
if he should buy silver. Bob replied: "Only for the long term." The
old gent smiled and walked away with almost a spring in his step.
With
gold currently overextended relative
to its MA - a point we have mentioned many times, and with the USD firmer, bullion
remains susceptible to an additional ranging consolidation over the near term.
However
we see no technical or fundamental reason why gold's secular bull market should
be ending at this time and therefore expect it to continue over the medium to
longer term, for all the reasons previously discussed.
