Email of the day (3&4)
on German and UK property investing
"As a former subscriber I still read your free Email and I like it very much. Another reader asked about German property investment (Email June, 3). Keep in mind that Germany is a heavily regulated market (landlord and tenant law)! But it might be interesting if your reader have look at: Deutsche EuroShop Aktie, ISIN: DE0007480204. It is owned by the Otto family (see www.otto.de). They invest in shopping centers in Germany and Eastern Europe (http://www.deutsche-euroshop.de). Another company might be Gagfah ISIN: LU0269583422. But this one would be a pure speculation."
And
"With regard to Wednesday's query on how to gain exposure to the UK residential property market, it might not fit with your correspondent's constraint on futures, but others may be interested to know IG Index does offer a spread-betting quote on the HBOS UK house price survey. Hope this helps."
Eoin Treacy's view Thank you for both for these informative emails contributed in the spirit of Empowerment through Knowledge.
