on creating sections or folders in your Favourites
"I find that I have quite a few charts under 'Favourites'; some of them I review daily whereas some are only reviewed on a weekly basis. I was wondering if it may be technically possible and also useful for all concerned if we were to have two options i.e. 'Favourites-I' and 'Favourites-II' available in our library, just to make referencing somewhat easier!"

Eoin Treacy's view Thank you for raising this issue which other subscribers, particularly neophytes may be interested in. It sounds like you need to set up some sections in order to manage your list. To add a section header click on the "Add Section" tab located just above the first entry on your favourites list. A box will appear where you can give it a title. When you are happy with the title, click "Add". A bar will appear with the title of your new section at the end of your Favourites list.

To populate the new section simply drag and drop each item just below the section heading. Alternatively, if you have already arranged the instruments you look at on a weekly basis separately from those you look at on a daily basis simply drag and drop the section heading to where you would like the divider to be. If you would like an instrument to appear in two or more sections hold down the shift key when you are dragging the instrument and it will be copied into the new section.

The section heading has a small '+' sign on the left hand side which allows you to collapse it as you might with a folder in Windows. Once you have a number of sections this feature will be useful in managing them.

On the right hand side of the section heading a 'View All' tab is located. This will allow you to tile through the constituents of the group using your mouse in a short period of time.

Should you wish to use the Chart Library Performance or High/Low Filters to scan through the constituents of one of your sections, simply select the section heading or headings you want from the menu and hit Scan.
