Email of the day
"Thank you again for highlighting the "robot" industry today. Could you please review some "good" robot manufacturing companies?
"I enjoy all your audios, but I thought Eoin's big picture audio last Friday was especially good."
David Fuller's view Thanks for the feedback and a question
certain to be of interest to a number of other subscribers.
Several
small Californian companies were mentioned in the article posted yesterday.
They are worth monitoring but I would look first at the more established firms
in this exciting field. Eoin and I reviewed them this morning.
From
Japan, Fanuc (weekly
& daily) is an industry leader
in robotics and has been a stock market outperformer. Note also its factory
automation joint venture with General Electric, mentioned in the Bloomberg Description
page posted above. Chiyoda Corp
(weekly & daily)
has one of the most promising chart patterns and also yields 1.63%.
In the
US, the widely diversified General Electric
(weekly & daily)
3.26% and Honeywell (weekly
& daily) 2.52% are also in
the field of robotics. GE appears close to a potentially significant upside
breakout. Illinois Tool Works (weekly
& daily) 2.58% is also widely diversified.
It has been a strong relative performer recently and is susceptible to some
mean reversion towards the MA. Cadence
Design Systems (weekly &
daily) produces software for the
robotics industry. It too is temporarily overstretched but remains within an
overall ranging upward trend.
In Europe,
I would consider widely diversified Siemens
(weekly & daily)
3.97% and Krones (weekly
& daily) 1.49%. There is also
the Swiss firm ABB Ltd (weekly
& daily) 3.76% which is active in
both automation and robotics.
