On carbon dioxide:
"Re. item "Martin Spring's On Target" (Daily 19/9/12):- One benefit of increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is that it will promote stronger plant growth, leading to better crop yields. This should counteract some of the effects of warming-induced droughts. (But you won't hear the climate change lobby saying anything about that!)"
David Fuller's view Absolutely and there should be more rainfall as well. I would not bet against a wet growing season in the US Midwest next year.
