David Fuller's view Thank you for bringing this interesting index to our attention. It is logical that a rise in the throughput data for outbound cargo from the world's ports would act as a lead indicator for economic activity not least because of the difference in timing between when port data and economic statistics are published. Unfortunately, Bloomberg does not currently have this index in their database so we cannot add it to the Chart Library.
