Thank you for this note in response to last Friday’s post on foreign exchange. I agree that a number of analysts writing for an institutional audience tend to rely on acronyms on the assumption that everyone reading the report will understand the terminology. This makes it difficult for those outside their circle to comprehend the message. In answer to your question, yes, the codes referred to in the report are ISO currency codes. Here is a link to a list of all of them.
