Eoin's personal portfolio:
Canadian 10yr short opened
Eoin Treacy's view There has been a great deal of speculation that quantitative easing
is about to be resumed by a range of countries and this has helped to support
bond prices. I suspect Canada is one of the least likely to require such support
and yet prices for its government debt have been surprisingly strong. On the
basis of commonality and in the hope that Canadian
10yr bonds will follow others lower I opened a short in the December contract
selling at 126.7 including spread-bet dealing costs.
