I opened a short today in NVidia. As last year’s best performing stock, it is unlikely to mimic that move this year and exhibits a wide overextension relative to the trend mean. I opened a short in the March contract selling at $103.65. 

I also opened longs in platinum and Sibanye Gold. This doubles my stale bull position in platinum by opening an April position at $944. 

Sibanye Gold has experienced a 70% decline from its peak and has one of the lowest valuations and highest yields in the sector. It has been diversifying out of gold and into South African platinum which has been expensive and falling metal prices also weighed on the stock. Nevertheless a deep oversold condition is evident and potential for at least a reversionary rally has increased.
