Eoin's personal portfolio: commodity long opened

I have been keeping a close eye on lean hogs since the contract rolled. News today of floods impacting hog farms across China may act as a bullish catalyst for the contract not least as it is trading in backwardation despite the two-month downtrend. I opened a long in the October contract paying $58.73 including spread-bet dealing costs.
