Jackson Wong: Running With Global Leaders 2010

My thanks to friend and colleague Jackson Wong of Investors Intelligence, who is the only person I know with a PhD in Technical Analysis. He has produced a terrific, informative report showing the world's stock market leaders in terms of performance. The report contains mostly tables and charts and is very cleverly presented. A note of advice: when you open it, click on the little triangle upper left so that the report fills the screen. Here is the opening premise
Equities have rallied significantly from the March 2009 lows. It is now time to reassess which markets, sectors, or stocks that did well.

Leaders often lead both ways - up and down. Monitoring their performances is therefore important.

Leaders also help us to understand where the current imbalances are being accumulated. Bubbly sectors usually reflect the current market optimism - or overconfidence!

As often said, the bigger the boom, the bigger the bust". Market leaders can provide a once-in-a-lifetime short opportunity!

Let's look at past market leaders...

David Fuller's view The chances are that a number of these performance leaders will be unknown to you, as they were for me. Students of the markets will want to monitor the global leaders, because as Jackson points out above, they often lead both ways - up and down. These are certainly among the most important stocks to watch, now and over the next 5 to 10 years.

Most of these shares are in the Fullermoney Chart Library, which Jackson used for this report. Subscribers may use Fullermoney's customisable charts for their own reports and can also send them to clients or colleagues, directly from the site.
