My personal portfolio
David Fuller's view Corn is a delayed report as I was unable to participate in Comment of the Day or Audio yesterday. When I saw on Monday evening that corn (weekly & daily) had closed with a small downside key day reversal, I nudged my breakeven stop 1¢ higher to $6.61, the maximum allowed and just below the closing price in Chicago. I was hoping that it would be triggered in quite Asian trading, avoiding a gap downwards. I received that price for the May contract early yesterday morning against my purchase at $6.591 on 13th March. I would consider re-entering but the pattern has deteriorated somewhat on favourable weather conditions for the new crop, which will be sown shortly, and this is currently outweighing concern over a possible old crop shortage.
Having covered my too large JGB (weekly & daily) short at 141.32 on the 15th, the first of my Baby Step scale-up short orders was triggered this morning. Consequently I opened a new June contract short at 141.51. This is one-fifth the size of last week's position. I have several other GTC sell orders at slightly higher prices.
Prices above include all spread-bet dealing costs.
