Eoin Treacy's view platinum has rallied for nine consecutive days and is becoming increasingly overbought in the short term. On seeing some weakness this morning I closed by long in the October contract at $1633.50 against my purchase on August 31 st at $1512.30. In pursuing this strategy I am conscious of the risk that platinum may continue to rally before experiencing a pullback. I hope to be able to reopen the position at a lower level.
