My personal portfolio
Hedge short reopened
After a couple of breakeven stops were triggered earlier this month after I opened hedge shorts in the high-flying Nasdaq 100 Index, which was ranging at the time, I decided to wait until I could introduce slightly in-the-money stops on my S&P shorts before doing so again. Today’s downward dynamic presented that opportunity. This evening, just before after hours trading finished, I shorted March Nasdaq futures at 3527.3, including spread-bet dealing costs. If that Wall Street 10% correction which has not occurred in the last 597 days is finally underway, I am likely to increase this position.
