My personal portfolio
Increasing a position
I continue to like the GE story, which I wrote about on Friday, and also the interest it is generating among US commentators. Apparently, GE is mainly owned by US private investors, having underperformed for so long. No doubt some of them will be tempted to sell following Friday’s bounce but GE should now be back on the institutional wavelength. Without the financing arm, GE will be a diversified manufacturing company, albeit with a little too much in the oil equipment sector, and a strong balance sheet for acquisitions and share buybacks. I bought a little more GE today, paying $28.13 for a December contract.
