On an ETF for industrial commodities:
“Hello David/Eoin Is there an etf for industrial commodities? Many thanks,”
Thanks for an interesting question. You will see a number of ETFs in the ‘Funds’ section of our dropdown menu in the Chart Library, and it really depends on exactly what you are looking for.
One that interested me, in terms of chart pattern and diversification, is the Global X China Materials ETF (CHIM US). According to Bloomberg, the current allocation is Mining 34.23%, Chemicals 30.90%, Iron/Steel 20.25%, Building Materials 6.93%, Forest Products & Paper 5.65% and Electronics 1.99%. It currently sells at a discount of -3.573% to net asset value. CHIM has a large base and is currently consolidating the recent breakout, so it could ease a little further during this process.
